This from the Memphis Business Journal: "Total Transportation Services LP paid $10 million to Exel Transportation Services Inc. to settle Exel's lawsuit alleging unlawful access to trade secrets by Total's employees."
How did this case start? "...Exel alleged that the defendants used computer passwords to hack into Exel's system."
Solution? When you have password protected computer data, change the passwords whenever anyone knowing those passwords leaves the company. A simple solution that would have saved both sides in this cases money.
